License & activations
Where your key comes from, what it unlocks, how to activate and deactivate it, and how to move a license between sites.
What the license key does
Every purchase from Lemon Squeezy comes with a license key. It covers manual updates and email support. The plugin itself and addon ZIPs install without a key — you never need to be online or licensed just to install a package you already have.
- Core plugin key: activate it under Settings → License & Updates.
- Paid addons: each addon has its own key (or one key covers them all if you bought the Everything Bundle). Free addons need no key.
- Keys are stored encrypted on your server.
Activate your license

Find your key
It's in your Lemon Squeezy receipt email and on the My Orders page.

Open License & Updates
In your admin go to Veyo Personalizer → Settings → License & Updates.

Paste and activate
Paste the key and click Activate. The page shows the license status, how many activation slots you've used, and whether a newer version is available.
Activation slots
One key can be active on two sites at the same time: typically one production store and one staging site. A third site (for example a local copy) needs a slot freed first.
Deactivate / move to another site

On the old site
Open Settings → License & Updates and click Deactivate. This frees the slot on the license server.

On the new site
Install Veyo and paste the same key under License & Updates.
Can't reach the old site any more (server gone, domain expired)? Email support@veyodesigner.com with your order number and we'll free the slot for you.
Official vs Custom addon builds
Official addon ZIPs are cryptographically signed. If your server has the PHP Sodium extension, Veyo verifies the signature and marks the addon Official. A ZIP that is edited, built from source or unsigned still installs but is marked Custom build: it works, and it simply gets no official update prompts. Restore official ZIP swaps it back.
Common license problems
| Message / symptom | What to do |

| “Already activated” / no slots left | Deactivate the key on another site, or email support to free a slot. |
| Key rejected | Copy it again from My Orders without extra spaces. Make sure you're using the key for this product (core and each paid addon have their own, unless you own the Everything Bundle). |
| Can't reach the license server | Your host must allow outbound HTTPS requests to Lemon Squeezy. Ask your host or check a firewall. |
| No update notice | Notices refresh about every 12 hours. Open License & Updates to check immediately. |
