Products & print areas

How Veyo describes a printable product: the catalog product, its views, mockups and print areas, colors and options, and how it links to a product in your store.

The idea: a catalog product linked to a store product

Veyo keeps its own catalog product that holds everything the designer needs (sides, mockup photos, print areas, colors, options, size chart). You then link it to a normal product in your store (WooCommerce, OpenCart or PrestaShop). Link one catalog product to many store products if they share the same blank.

Start in Veyo Personalizer → Catalog → Products. The Dashboard checklist walks you through it: create a catalog product, add a view, draw a print area, link it to a store product.

Views and mockups

A view is one side the customer can design: Front, Back, Left sleeve… Add a view with Add side, name it and upload a mockup image (the product photo shown behind the design). Remove a view and its mockup layers and print-area settings are hidden until you add it again.

  • Use a clean, front-on photo with an even background; a transparent PNG works best for tinting.
  • The garment image position and size (left, top, width, height as a percentage) lets you fit the blank inside the canvas.
  • The canvas size is set in pixels (between 1 and 10,000).

The print area is the region where the customer can place artwork. Anything outside it is clipped from the production file.

  1. Pick the shape

Rectangle, rounded rectangle or circle. Match what your press can really print.

  2. Drag it into place

Drag the blue box on the preview over the printable area of the photo, or use the exact position fields (From left, From top).

  3. Enter the real size

Measure the area your printer can print on this side and enter its size in the units your shop uses. The real-world size drives the ruler, the DPI/print-quality checks and the scale of the exported file (for example 300 DPI).

  4. Choose how photos fit

Decide whether a shopper's photo is scaled to cover the whole area or keeps its own size.

Product colors

Add the colors a product comes in. Upload a neutral garment photo (grey or white) and Veyo tints it live, so one photo set covers every color. You can pick colors from your Brand Colors or upload a custom photo for a specific color. Let shoppers pick any color allows free choice instead of a fixed list.

Options, price and size chart

  • Options: extra choices shoppers make, like size or material. Drag to set their order. (For rules and prices per option, see Smart Configurator.)
  • Price: base personalization price per product. If you see “No price set”, add one or install a pricing addon (Printing & Pricing, Dynamic Pricing).
  • Printing methods: the methods allowed for the product, from your Printing & Pricing library (DTG, DTF, screen, sublimation, embroidery, large format, UV, …).
  • Size chart: add a chart that shoppers open from the designer.
  • Info text and thumbnail: shown in the product info panel and in the catalog.

Link it to a store product

WordPress / WooCommerce

Open the product in WooCommerce, scroll to Product data and open the Veyo Personalizer tab. Pick the catalog product there, then update the product. The storefront now shows Design this product.

OpenCart / PrestaShop

OpenCart: open the product (Catalog → Products → edit); a Veyo panel on the product form lets you choose the catalog product. PrestaShop: open the product, go to the Modules tab and use the Veyo panel. Save the product afterwards. In the catalog edit screen you can also link a store product to a catalog product to preview it as a shopper.

Tip: keep one fully set-up test product (a plain t-shirt or mug) and place a test order after every setup change. See Your first product.

Duplicate, edit and delete

Use More actions on a catalog product to duplicate it (handy for sizes or colorways) or delete it. Delete only products you no longer sell: they stop being personalizable.

Troubleshooting

  • No “Design this product” button: the product needs at least one view with a print area, and must be linked to a catalog product and enabled.
  • Print area looks off in the export: check the real-world size you entered and that the print area sits inside the mockup photo.
  • Blurry exports: the customer's image is too small for the print size; use Preflight or AI Image Tools.
