What it does

Smart Configurator adds a lightweight option configurator directly on the WooCommerce product page — dropdowns and color swatches that map straight to design-layer actions (set text, change color, swap image, toggle visibility) without opening the full designer.

It's ideal for simple personalization that doesn't need a full editing experience: a shop selling name-drop apparel can let customers pick a color and type a name right on the product page, while still offering the full designer for shoppers who want more control.

Availability

Smart Configurator is coming soon. It is not sold, downloadable, licensed, or included in Everything Bundle yet. This page previews planned behavior; scope and release timing may change.

How to use it

  1. Map options to layer actions

    On the product edit screen, define dropdowns or swatches and map each choice to a design-layer action — set text, change color, swap image, or toggle visibility.

  2. Customer configures on the product page

    Shoppers interact with familiar dropdowns/swatches directly on the product page, no designer required.

  3. Falls through to the full designer if needed

    Shops can still offer the full designer alongside the configurator for customers who want more control.

FAQ

Does this replace the full designer?

No — it's a lighter-weight alternative for simple cases. Both can be offered on the same shop, even the same product.

What actions can an option trigger?

Setting text content, changing a color, swapping an image, or toggling a layer's visibility.
