Designer Analytics

$9  See how shoppers use the designer, from opening the studio to placing an order. Counts only, no personal data.

Platforms: WooCommerce, OpenCart & PrestaShop. Version: 1.0.0.

Every purchase is a single signed, install-ready ZIP with a license key from Lemon Squeezy: one-time payment, free updates for life and 6 months of email support. Installs through the Veyo Apps screen.

What Designer Analytics does

Designer Analytics answers the questions every personalization store asks: how many shoppers open the designer, how many add something, how many add to cart, and how many actually order. It shows where people drop off and which products lose the most shoppers.

It also ranks the clipart, fonts and templates shoppers use most, so you know what to promote and what to retire. Everything is stored as daily counts. There is no shopper, IP or session data, which keeps it simple for privacy policies.

Features

  • Designer funnel. Studio opened, item added, added to cart, ordered. The dashboard shows the conversion from each step to the next over the last 7, 30 or 90 days.
  • Abandonment per product. Find the products where shoppers open the designer but never order, and fix those first.
  • Most used assets. Top 10 clipart, fonts and templates by usage, so you can feature what works.
  • Privacy by construction. Only counts are stored: day, event, product, asset reference and count. No shopper, IP or session data.
  • Your data, your rules. Tracking is on by default, data is kept for 365 days by default (never less than 30), and visits by shop admins are not counted unless you turn that on. Old data is purged automatically once a day. These three options have no screen in the admin; see Settings below.
  • Works on three platforms. One addon for WooCommerce, OpenCart and PrestaShop, with the same dashboard everywhere.

How to set up Designer Analytics

  1. Buy and install

Download the addon ZIP from your Lemon Squeezy receipt or My Orders page and install it from the Veyo Apps screen.

  2. Nothing to switch on

Tracking is on as soon as the addon is active. The addon has no settings screen; the defaults are listed under Settings below.

  3. Let it collect

Counts start immediately. Funnel and product reports fill in as shoppers use the designer.

  4. Read the dashboard

Open Catalog → Analytics in the Veyo admin. Use the funnel, abandonment and top assets reports to decide what to fix and what to promote.

What shoppers see

Nothing. The addon adds no button or panel to the designer. In the background the designer sends an anonymous ping when the studio is ready for a product (studio opened) and another when the first new layer is added (item added). Each is sent once per product per browser tab session, and layers restored from a cart or draft do not count as added. The admin template editor is not counted as a shopper session.

Add to cart and orders are counted on your server, only for personalized items.

What the dashboard shows

  • A date range switch for 7 days, 30 days (default) or 90 days.
  • Four headline figures: Designer opens, Add-to-cart rate, Order rate and Abandonment (opened but did not order).
  • Designer funnel with the steps Opened the designer, Started designing, Added to cart and Ordered, each with the share that made it from the step before.
  • Per day bars for opens and orders, and a sortable By product table with an abandonment badge per product.
  • Most used clipart, Most used fonts and Most used templates, top 10 each, counted when a personalized item is added to the cart. Template ranking needs the Design Templates addon for names; otherwise it shows ids.

Settings

The addon stores these options with defaults, but its admin page has no controls for them, so the defaults apply on a normal install.

SettingDefaultRange / optionsWhat it does
enabledOnOn / offTurns counting on or off.
retention_days36530 or moreDaily counts older than this are deleted by a job that runs once a day.
track_adminsOffOn / offWhen off, visits by logged-in shop admins are not counted, so test with a customer account or a private window.

What you get in orders and production

Nothing extra. Analytics does not change orders, files or production output. It only keeps its own counts. See Orders & production files for what orders contain.

Data and privacy

  • Tables: {prefix}veyop_analytics_daily (day, event, product id, asset type and reference, hit count) and {prefix}veyop_analytics_order_lines (order line id, product id and name, day), the second one only so that re-saving an order line is not counted twice.
  • No shopper data: no IP address, session id, cart id or customer identity is written. The browser only remembers, for the tab session, that a ping was already sent.
  • Outside services: none.
  • Uninstalling: removing the addon keeps its tables, so reinstalling restores the history. Uninstalling the whole of Veyo with Keep data when uninstalling off erases every veyop_* table. See Uninstalling & your data.

Troubleshooting

  • “No data yet”. Numbers only start after the addon is active, and visits by logged-in shop admins are not counted. Test with a customer account or a private window.
  • Opens look higher than shoppers. An open is counted once per product per browser tab, so the same person opening the designer in a new tab counts again.
  • Add to cart and orders stay at zero while opens grow. Those two steps are counted on the server for personalized items only, so check that the product really goes through the designer.
  • A product shows as a number such as #12. The product has no title in the Veyo catalog; the order history fills in a name once an order exists.
  • Most used templates shows ids. The Design Templates addon is not installed, so template names cannot be looked up.
