Searching and importing a stock image into the designer

What Stock Images does

Stock Images adds a curated stock-photo search panel inside the Veyo product designer for WooCommerce, backed by Openverse (no API key required, results filtered to commercially licensed images with attribution shown automatically) and Pixabay (using your own admin-entered API key).

Your Pixabay API key stays server-side and is never exposed to the browser, so customers can search and import stock images without any risk of your key leaking.

How to enable Stock Images

  1. Buy the addon

    Your Lemon Squeezy receipt email (and "My Orders" page) contains the addon ZIP.

  2. Upload it in the Veyo Apps screen

    In WordPress admin, open Veyo → Apps and upload the ZIP. Veyo verifies the package and installs it.

  3. Enable it

    Toggle Stock Images on. Openverse works immediately; to enable Pixabay, add your Pixabay API key in the addon's settings.

How to use Stock Images

  1. Open the Stock Images panel

    Customers search directly from the designer's Stock Images panel.

  2. Pick a commercially licensed image

    Results are filtered to commercial-use-friendly licenses, with attribution handled automatically where a provider requires it.

  3. Import it as a layer

    The chosen image drops onto the canvas like any uploaded image, ready to position and resize.

FAQ

Is a Pixabay account required?

Only if you want Pixabay results — Openverse works with no key at all. Add a Pixabay API key in the admin settings to also search Pixabay.

Is my Pixabay key ever visible to customers?

No — it's stored and used server-side only; the browser never receives it.
